Dateline NBC Episode on Cell Tower and Communications tower climbers!
I'm looking forward to the episode on Dateline tonight that will feature the guys who climb the communications towers I blabber about on my site. It's named Tower Dogs! It should be interesting!

What a disappointment, and a gross representation of what our industry actually is- Dateline should come to Alaska and film a real tower company. Also- why are we called dogs? 20 years out here, never heard that one. 20 year old subcontractors? Gimme a break. Drunks? Sad- Folks, there are some highly trained and proud tower workers out there. They were not portrayed here.
Chris, I have to agree with you on this one...The show did a cursory review of what the job is all about, while focusing on the interactions of one group of climbers. There is some good footage on the web site, and the way they laid out the story, it wouldn't surprise me if they were trying to imitate 'Deadliest Catch' and produce their own reality show...
